$235 | Circa 1960s |

A James Mont style bronze ice bucket on three legs. Sporting a Greek key design and a two-headed dragon handle. Inside is a fixed, green, hard plastic insulating bowl.

These were made by Getz Bros in Taiwan in the 1960s in the manner of the extravagant, eclectic interior style developed by Brooklyn-based designer James Mont (1904-1978). Originally from Istanbul in the Ottoman Empire, Mont mixed Asian and classical design elements into Art Deco and Mid Century Modern interiors, beloved by the mob and Hollywood stars, alike. An iconic piece that’s both functional and exotic.

Great condition with normal verdigris on the bronze and no discoloration or scratches on the plastic.
