$65 | Circa 1940s |

Amber glazed water jug by Luke Adams pottery, Christchurch. The textured design includes a ribbed pattern on the neck, a quilted motif on the body and a leaf rising across the jug from the base of the handle. Unmarked, as was often the case with Luke Adams pieces.

Luke Adams operated from 1881 to 1965, producing decorative, domestic pottery items in the English colonial style. Pieces are collectible, held in Auckland War Memorial Museum and The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington.

In excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is age-related crazing, typical for a piece of this era and does not affect its integrity.
